Emotional layers investigate the optical abilities that glass withholds in relation to colour and shape. Colour is a very important factor in everyone’s daily life, whether we notice it or not. One person whom I have always been inspired from is Verner Panton who creates beautiful, playful, and colour filled interiors. He studied the effects that different hues have on the human psyche, which he later used in his designs to serve different impacts on the viewer. In my project, I am turning this approach around by looking at emotions in relation to colour, based on “colour psychology.” as well as my own personal experience. Just as you can trigger certain feelings using colour, those feeling can be translated into colours in order to communicate emotions.
