Den Blå Firkant was a temporary public space installation and community event created for 48 TIMER Festival at Blågårds Plads. Developed in collaboration with Siam Summer Challenge, local schools, and residents, the project aimed to create a more playful and inclusive meeting space for children, families, and people in the area. The installation consisted of 50 modular blue wooden blocks that could be used for seating, play, building, and social interaction throughout the festival weekend. Alongside the installation, we created a skipping rope activity area inspired by Siam’s thai boxing event, encouraging movement and participation through simple activities with a low barrier to entry. My main role focused on project management, concept development, and construction. I worked with translating research and local input into a physical installation, while also taking part in the 3D development and production of the modular structures. The project gave me practical experience in coordinating collaborators, managing a hands-on build process, and designing interactive experiences for real public spaces.
